There are plenty of romance books out there. Whether you are looking for a romantic novel or a self-help romance book from the likes of Dr Phil, there is certainly an enormous selection to choose from.
Who reads romance novels?
Romance novels tend to be more popular among women than men. There are light romance books and meaty, more serious romance books . Mills and Boon novels have enjoyed enormous popularity over the years as has Danielle Steel. They tend to be on the lighter side and show romance in a pretty positive light.
For cynics out there, there are romance books that don't show romance and love through such rose colored spectacles.
If it's hot sex you want you may want to pick up a Jackie Collins novel. Rest assured, there is a romance book that falls under every conceivable romance genre.
Self-help romance books
If you go into any bookstore you will find a huge selection of books in the self-help section. Many of those books will be on romance. Celebrities and self-help gurus have brought out their own self-help romance books.
If you are experiencing relationship problems or simply want to get enlightened on how to have a 'good' relationship, Dr Phil has several books for you.
The latest book to fly off the shelves is a book aptly named 'He's just not that into you!' by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo. This book gives it to girls and women out there straight. If you are in doubt over whether that guy who is giving you the runaround is into you or not, this book will make you wake up and smell the coffee. This book really aims to tell it how it is. It cuts through the crap and exposes men's little tricks and games. Numerous women on Opera were reduced to tears when Greg Behrendt informed them that the man/men they were in love with were just not that into them!
What can romance books do for you?
There are men out there who will pick up a romance book. However, for the most part, they more popular among women. If you are looking for a light-hearted, page turner, you may want to pick up a Danielle Steel or Mills and Boon.
If you are looking to improve a relationship or build the 'perfect' relationship, you may opt for a self-help book.
