Virtual Relationships

When it comes to virtual relationships, they can be a good thing. Have you ever had a boyfriend or girlfriend that just wouldn't give you your space. Isn't it nice to know that if your virtual "bf" or "gf" got on your nerves all you would have to do is ... well, not get online, or go invisible, or even better yet, totally ignore them? It's like having your own little remote control and you push all the buttons. It's like a dream come true. And if you wanted to break up, the same rules apply. No messy tears or returned gifts or anything like that. No begging and pleading. The most you'll probably get is some annoying e-mail and "Away Messages."

Mixed Virtual Relationships
"I was dating the guy online and he started to get too clingy. I thought with virtual relationships there was more freedom. Not according to him. He wanted to know where I was every hour of the day. I've had other virtual relationships before, but this guy was just relentless. I finally got rid of him by pretending to be someone else." Jenny

"At first I didn't believe in virtual relationships, I thought they were stupid. Who would ever look for a mate online? Then one day I was in this chat room and started talking to this girl. We kept getting IMs from other people, so we decided to go to a private room. We spoke for at least 6 hours that first night. We talked again for a few more nights and pretty soon, we were virtually dating. Now, we're a couple and it's going well. Not all virtual relationships are stupid." Mark

Maybe a virtual relationship is for you, and maybe it isn't. But you'll never know until you try. There's no pressure, but you only live once, you might as well have fun.
