Online Dating Sites
We have all heard, and not just on this website, about the enormous growth and poularity of the large online dating sites. As the stigma wears off it seems that more people are doing their dating through online dating sites. But as many people have already experienced the largest of these sites and the vast numbers of users that go along with them, they are seeking out smaller sites. Research shows that more and more people are joining the "niche" sites in lieu of the online dating sites that we know by name.
Niche online dating sites
Niche sites, as they are now being called, are dating sites that cater only to certain subgroups in our society. So, for instance there are some now that target college kids, Jews and Christian, even for little people. These sites are actually taking customers away from some of the largest sites, some of which have 15 million members. People feel as thought there is simply too much to choose from on sites that count their users in the millions and since many of us are looking for particular things anyway, many people are narrowing their options by using these niche online dating sites.
As the growth of the large sites has slowed dramatically the niche sites just keep on growing. What we really want is a like minded person. And it follows from this that most of us would prefer to register with and use the niche online dating sites. And why not? You can always have a membership with more than one site at a time if you are afraid to let the larger site go, but a smaller one is definitely worth a try. A lot of the niche sites also have the added advantage of having chat rooms to discuss issues that pertain to the community that the site is affiliated with. And so besides finding a date these sites are also serving as a way for people in certain communities to meet.
